Volunteer program for students in grades 6 through 8
Our VolunTweens mentor young children, ages 3 to 5, in an after-school program in East Orange, NJ, where they are partnered with a teacher in a supervised Head Start classroom. The afternoon activities include playtime, arts & crafts projects, reading time, circle time and music, as well as holiday parties. VolunTweens volunteer on Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm for an eight-week period. The first session is from November through January. The second session is from February through March.
