- Hands-on opportunities where you roll up your sleeves and get to work OR the behind-the-scenes organizing required to make events, programs and activities successful for all participants.

- You choose how you want to participate: Whether you have an hour, a day, or want to devote more time to our member-led organization, we will help you find the best and most meaningful way for you to contribute.

Back 2 School Store
The Back 2 School Store calls on hundreds of volunteers annually for our mid-summer event, the biggest of the year. NCJW/Essex creates a shopping experience for more than 1,000 children from across Essex County, empowering them to choose clothes, books and other items as they get ready to learn! The Back 2 School Store offers many ways to be involved: you can work day-of or You be part of the Steering Committee or many other jobs in between.

Center for Women
Our team of dedicated professionals help women entering or re-entering the work force find a fresh perspective on the things that matter most — life skills, independence, self-esteem and career opportunities. Volunteers are needed for programs including RISE self-empowerment workshops, Pack the Pantry to help alleviate food insecurity and more.
