Special Membership Meeting - May 26, 2026

On March 25, 2026, the National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section, Inc. (“NCJW/Essex”) Section Board voted to disaffiliate from National Council of Jewish Women, Inc.
Also on that date, the NCJW/Essex Section Board voted that the new name of the organization would be Tovah.
The Articles of Incorporation of NCJW/Essex (the “Articles”) and the Bylaws of NCJW/Essex (the “Bylaws”) need to reflect this change.
The Bylaws require that any proposed changes be approved by the NCJW/Essex Section Board prior to being presented to the Membership for a vote.
On May 11, 2026, the NCJW/Essex Section Board granted its approval of the presented Articles and Bylaws.
In accordance with the Bylaws, this shall serve as Notice that proposed changes to the Articles and the Bylaws reflecting the new name of Tovah will be presented to the Membership for a vote on May 26, 2026.
This meeting will take place at 1:00 pm at 5 Becker Farm Road, Roseland in the Conference Room on the First Floor. Members must be present in person to vote.
