Registration deadline: February 12 (no exceptions)
Enjoy three hand-curated Pinot Noirs from New Zealand, Argentina and Italy as you learn about the grape varietal, explore the wine regions, winemaker history and winemaking practices, along with the basics of wine tasting and wine and cheese pairing. This will be a multi-sensorial experience and you are encouraged to interact with Julie Margolis, our sommelier and wine educator for the evening.
Julie Margolis, founder of Glass Half Full is passionate about the joy of wine and yoga. She shares her extensive knowledge in ways that are fun, engaging and accessible. Julie is a wine educator who believes learning about wine is just as enjoyable as drinking it. During her time at Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, she launched their popular monthly education program, and now teaches at the International Wine Center in New York City.
If you’re looking for some cheese and charcuterie to go along with the tasting, Julie recommends Gruyere, Taleggio, Gouda, a triple crème (like Brie or Camembert) from cow, sheep or goat, and any cheese with mushrooms or truffles. Another great pairing for Pinot Noir is pate made of poultry, meat or veggie, hams and salami.
The Zoom link and wine delivery information will be sent the week prior to the event.
