At NCJW/Essex, we are at the forefront of social justice movements, taking a stand on issues of importance to women, children, and families. We lobby legislators and champion issues pertinent to our mission. Our members are able to stay informed through our action alerts, our training, and our advocacy projects and programs.

- Safeguard democracy! Join us on Wednesday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. as Jesse Burns (Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey) and Benjamin Dworkin (Director of the Rowan Institute for Public Policy and Citizenship) lead a discussion about the threats to the election — including Covid-19, misinformation and the embattled USPS — as well as what we can do now to combat them. - Reclaim the vote! Sign up for Advocacy-in-an-Hour on Wednesday, September 16 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. We are partnering with Reclaim Our Vote to send postcards to disenfranchised voters. REGISTER HERE.
- Join the A-list! Lead the charge as NCJW/ Essex raises awareness in the community about critical state and federal issues facing women, children and families through full-page ads placed in the Star Ledger. JOIN HERE.
